专业概况
在这里学什么?The mission of the Department of Elementary Education is to prepare undergraduate and graduate candidates to meet the teaching demands of a culturally diverse society in the twenty-first century. Through dynamic learner-centered programs that support lifelong learning, candidates learn the pedagogy and technology necessary to create classrooms for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
Graduate course offerings are designed to improve the competence of early childhood, elementary, and middle school teachers and to prepare them for a variety of positions. Undergraduate preparation is extended and enriched through courses which provide opportunity to review current research in relevant fields, to conduct research in appropriate areas, to develop activities and curriculum materials, and to study emerging trends in elementary education, early childhood development, and reading.

为来自中国的学生设计 To apply for a master’s degree program at SFA, you must meet one of the following requirements: Be in your final year of undergraduate work; Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Generally, all applicants must have an overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and a 2.8 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. English Language Scores: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score - 79 IBT (Internet-Based) and 550 PBT (Paper-Based); International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score - Overall band 6.5; Pearson Test of English (PTE) score – 53.课程信息
