专业概况

The interior design focus provides a broad general education that helps prepare for living and working as a design professional. Interior design is an integrated process applicable to both residential and commercial environments. It includes the designing and planning of space for commercial, industrial and residential areas. The in-depth look at the active, creative processes of programming and space planning can refer to residences, corporations, and other specialized public spaces.

Students pursuing the MSHS complete the 18-hour MSHS core, which includes:

HMS 500: Philosophy of Human Sciences

HMS 501: Service Management in the Human Sciences

HMS 502: Employee Development Issues in Human Sciences

HMS 540: Consumer Problems

SOC 550: Social Statistics

SOC 551: Sociological Inquiry

Additional courses available to students pursuing the MSHS with an interior design emphasis include:

为来自中国的学生设计 To apply for a master’s degree program at SFA, you must meet one of the following requirements: Be in your final year of undergraduate work; Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Generally, all applicants must have an overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and a 2.8 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. English Language Scores: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score - 79 IBT (Internet-Based) and 550 PBT (Paper-Based); International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score - Overall band 6.5; Pearson Test of English (PTE) score – 53.
