We have an international reputation for research within the fields of science and technology studies (STS), health and medicine and social care.

We attract considerable external funding for pioneering sociological and interdisciplinary studies into regenerative medicine, stem cell science, end of life care, addiction, gender and health, healthcare practices, anti-microbial resistance and architecture for health and social care.

Our cluster boasts one of the biggest cohorts of STS scholars in the UK and we are host to the world-leading Science and Technology Studies Unit.

为来自中国的学生设计 For a postgraduate taught course such as a Masters, you would normally need a Bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score you will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course: A score of 80 to 85 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; A score of 75 to 80 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:2. If you're a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability.
