• Pollution effects upon soil/plant/water ecosystems
• Evaluation of critical loads and levels of pollutants
• Modelling of atmospheric chemistry processes
• Biogeochemical cycling and sustainability
• Indoor and outdoor exposure to air pollution
• Environmental impacts of volcanoes
• Pathways and impacts of agricultural pollutants

The MPhil is a research degree in its own right, and requires a dissertation of up to 60,000 words to be submitted by full-time students after a period of two years' study (by part-time students after four years).

为来自中国的学生设计 For a postgraduate taught course such as a Masters, you would normally need a Bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score you will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course: A score of 80 to 85 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; A score of 75 to 80 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:2. If you're a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability.
