专业概况

在这里学什么？

As an acupuncturist, you will utilize patients' energy flows to help treat a wide array of conditions. By stimulating acupoints, most commonly through the insertion of sterile needles, you will treat the patient holistically to provide relief from pain, migraine headaches, anxiety and depression, insomnia, infertility, or reduce side effects from medications such as chemotherapy.

In this professional pathway, you have the opportunity to earn a combined Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Master of Acupuncture (MAc) or Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). You'll spend the first three years at MCPHS–Boston before transitioning to MCPHS–Worcester where you will work with our highly skilled faculty, learning how to stimulate energy through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Our on campus Acupuncture Treatment Center allows you to work directly with patients from the community in a holistic, clinical setting. Our immersive, health sciences environment means you will experience interprofessional educational opportunities learning how to work with other members of a healthcare team to deliver a truly integrative treatment plan.
