The world needs better politics: better ways of distributing resources and resolving conflicts.

How can we do this when our engagement with politics is most often local and national? The politics of the future is haunted by those of the past. In order to imagine and move towards building a new future, an understanding of history must underpin national and international politics. This interdisciplinary MA seeks to address these problems by bringing together politics and contemporary history, with a particular focus on transnational ideas and institutions.

You'll benefit from a wide range of expertise across two outstanding departments, as well as access to numerous centres and institutes, including:

• Centre for Global Health Histories
• Post-war Reconstruction and Development Unit
• Centre for Applied Human Rights
• Centre for the Evolution of Global Business and Institutions

为来自中国的学生设计 For a postgraduate taught course such as a Masters, you would normally need a Bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score you will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course: A score of 80 to 85 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; A score of 75 to 80 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:2. If you're a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability.
