The interface between electrical and electronic technology is at the heart of modern transport, homes and energy generation.

Master the principles, circuits, systems and solutions at the intersection of these exciting disciplines, covering areas such as renewable energies, energy generation and distribution, smart grids and energy management.

Our MEng will cement your knowledge of fundamental principles and introduce you to advanced concepts. You'll experience a large team software engineering project, as well as managing a substantial individual project, allowing you to develop the knowledge and skills required to become a leader in the industry. With an increased choice of advanced option modules, you'll have the opportunity to engage with world-class researchers and work with our latest innovative technology.

You'll graduate with the abilities and approaches you will need to operate with confidence – as a researcher, expert designer or technical manager – in the challenging world of engineering.

Assessment

Your assignments will be designed not just to test you but for you to creatively apply what you've learnt, and to stretch you to supply novel solutions. We use a variety of assessment styles, including exams, coursework and practical engineering tasks.
