Key information

Develop your professional skills as a journalist with our unique Financial Journalism MA programme. You will gain a global outlook on business, finance and the economy and will learn directly from seasoned industry figures working for elite international news organisations.

We aim to give you the professional skills and knowledge needed to work in fast-paced multimedia newsrooms around the world. Through funded study trips to China and New York you will get to grips with global economics and stock markets such as the Hang Seng Index and Wall Street.

You may have no background in finance but wish to specialise and discover great stories. Or you may have a finance background and want to specialise in journalism.

Our Financial Journalism MA graduates are highly sought after by some of the best-known news organisations in the UK and beyond.

You will graduate with the ability to undertake in-depth research, find stories and produce extensive reports on major financial bodies across the world.

Three quarters of our graduates stay to work in London, while others relocate to financial centres like New York, Hong Kong, Mumbai, and Singapore.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants will be considered for most postgraduate courses with a good Chinese bachelor’s degree from a recognised University. Students who don’t meet the requirements for direct entry may opt to undertake a graduate preparation programme. Students successfully completing INTO City’s Graduate Diploma or Kaplan International College London’s Pre-Master’s Course at the required level will have guaranteed entry into City’s postgraduate degrees. English language requirements will vary from course to course and the information on this page is only intended to be a general guide.
