The world of communication is continuously reinvented as new media platforms emerge. At SFA, our mass communication students are prepared for the ever-changing digital world through hands-on learning opportunities with the latest technology, which allows our Lumberjacks to graduate fully career ready.

If there is one thing that is ever-changing, it’s the way we consume information. Smartphones, social media and the rise of citizen journalism have all contributed to the constant shift in our media habits that happens almost daily.

At SFA, we ensure our mass communication students are on the leading edge as those shifts occur. We prepare you for the future of media with an emphasis on critical thinking, professional skills and social responsibility.

Students who study mass communication at SFA leave the program ready for a career in the ever-changing world of mass media. From storied careers such as newspaper journalism to the emerging world of social media, the possibilities are exciting and limitless.

Students in mass communication have a chance to explore an exciting and rapidly changing field and work alongside their professors and peers in student-run media. Students will learn how to work in a converged newsroom and study myriad media topics.

为来自中国的学生设计 International Freshman must have at least a 2.500 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) on all secondary coursework. English Language Scores: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score - 79 IBT (Internet-Based) and 550 PBT (Paper-Based); International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score - Overall band 6.5; Pearson Test of English (PTE) score – 53.
