Finance majors at SFA are analytical thinkers, educated to help both business managers and private individuals to make decisions about capital and commodity markets. Our Lumberjack finance graduates are a cut above the rest, who do interesting and important work that is essential to making the American and global economy work.

All of our finance graduates are well prepared to help businesses and individuals make important financial and analytical decisions.

A major in finance for a B.B.A. candidate consists of all the degree requirements for the B.B.A. listed earlier in this bulletin (which includes FIN 333) plus FIN 357, FIN 370, FIN 373 and 18 hours from the following: three to six hours from FIN 401, ACC 331, ACC 332, ACC 333, ACC 343; and 12 to 15 hours from ECO 331, FIN 361, FIN 369, FIN 401 (if not taken above), FIN 410, FIN 415, FIN 433, FIN 448, FIN 458, FIN 471, FIN 474, FIN 475, FIN 485 and FIN 490. Not more than six hours may be counted from ECO 331, FIN 361, FIN 369.
