The elementary years are about more than classroom instruction. Pursue this program to learn about elements across society that impact elementary schooling and elementary aged children.

If you already hold an INITIAL license in elementary education in the state of MA and would like to engage in an in depth study of elementary school education while obtaining your MED ALL ONLINE PROGRAM is for you.

Program Features

Cohort model: Small class sizes and cohort-based learning help to foster a tight-knit community between students and faculty through your two-year program.

On-campus, online or hybrid program: Options to complete the entire degree online, with focal areas in advanced practice in elementary education, autism spectrum disorders, or special education.

Innovative curriculum: Designed to deepen the knowledge and practice of practicing, licensed teachers.

Timing options: Course sequence options designed so candidates can obtain a master’s degree in one, two or three years depending on available time to commit to studies.

Professional license eligibility: After completing the MEd in elementary education, teachers with an initial license can apply for their professional license if they have met other requirements from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

Field-based: Unique and exciting one-year full-time field-based learning opportunities to bring educational theory into practice within the context of elementary schools.

Exciting full year teaching practicum’s where students gain experience working in public schools under the supervision of a supervising practitioner. Students can either come as a paraprofessional or are personally assisted in finding a placement.

Graduate assistantships: Opportunities to apply for graduate assistantships, grants, and scholarships.
